Our story
It started with my family’s swim school
SwimPal didn’t start as a business idea. It started because my mum and dad needed an easier way to run their swim school.
Like most swim school owners, they were juggling lessons, payments, parent messages and endless admin. The software available was expensive, awkward to use and never seemed to fit how a swim school actually runs.
So I built something for our own school. I wasn’t trying to start a software company; I just wanted to make life easier for my family and give my mum and dad some of their time back.
That first version showed us how much difference the right system could make. Now my best mate Nathan and I are rebuilding SwimPal from the ground up, with all three swim schools in my family helping us shape every part of it.
Our aim is simple: to give other swim school owners the same thing I wanted for my parents - less admin, fewer headaches and more time to focus on their swimmers.
The first version was built for one real swim school. This one is being shaped by three.
All three swim schools in my family are helping us test ideas, spot problems and make sure SwimPal works in the real world. And soon, we’ll be inviting other swim schools to join us and help shape it too.
“I didn’t set out to build software for swim schools. I just wanted to make running my family’s swim school easier and give my mum and dad more time back.”
